At A.G. Williams Painting Company, giving back to the community is more than a mission, it’s a tradition that has been part of our story for over a century. For the second consecutive year, we proudly joined forces withHer Haven, a non-profit organization dedicated to creating uplifting spaces for women in need. This year’s collaboration focused on transforming the Tina Klem Serenity House in Bridgeport, Connecticut, a project that embodies compassion, creativity, and community spirit.
Continuing a Legacy of Compassion and Service
As part of our ongoing community commitment, A.G. Williams Painting Company donated $6,000 worth of professional painting services to the Tina Klem Serenity House project. Benjamin Moore generously supplied the paint through Ring’s End, ensuring every surface was finished with the quality and beauty these spaces deserve.
The renovation effort converted the historic Huntington House, a Victorian building, into a welcoming, peaceful environment named in memory of Tina Klem, the late Chief Clinical Officer of the Recovery Network of Programs. The newly named Tina Klem Serenity House now serves as a group recovery home for women living with co-occurring disorders, offering trauma- and gender-informed care in a safe, restorative setting.
A Century-Old Tradition of Giving
For more than 100 years, A.G. Williams Painting Company has proudly served New York, Connecticut, and the greater tri-state area. From historic restorations to large-scale commercial projects, we’ve always believed in using our expertise to strengthen the communities we call home.
Community involvement is woven into our company culture. Each year, we sponsor and participate in charitable events and local initiatives, supporting causes like ovarian and breast cancer awareness, home makeovers for deserving families, and environmental improvement projects.
Our partnership with Her Haven is one of many ways we bring our company’s values, integrity, craftsmanship, and compassion, to life beyond the job site.
Inspiring the Next Generation
Another inspiring element of this collaboration is how it empowers young designers and students. Through Her Haven’s partnership with the University of Bridgeport, students gained hands-on experience designing for real-world clients with deeply personal needs.
By connecting professional painters, interior designers, and student teams, the project became an educational opportunity that highlights how creative industries can contribute to community well-being.
This kind of collaboration, between tradespeople, artists, and students, is exactly what A.G. Williams Painting Company stands for: teamwork, mentorship, and excellence.
Looking Ahead: Building on a Shared Vision
The Her Haven and A.G. Williams partnership is proof that lasting change begins when people come together with a shared purpose. Whether through a coat of paint, a thoughtful design, or an act of kindness, each contribution helps transform not only walls and rooms, but lives.
As we look forward to future collaborations, A.G. Williams Painting Company remains committed to supporting projects that bring hope and beauty to our communities.
We’re honored to have played a role in creating a home where women can find peace, strength, and new beginnings.
